Sat. Nov. 7, from 8 am 'til 1:30 pm the Santa Rosa County Democrats will hold the monthly Yard Sale at Democratic Headquarters,

5746 Stewart Street, Milton.  (Highway 87 going north 7 blocks past Milton High School.) Come browse and get bargains.

Donate Items  We have a large inventory of furniture, electronics, holiday decorations, recreation items, books, kitchen ware, table ware, tools, and home repair items.  But we can always use more. Do you have something to contribute?  You can drop off items Sat. anytime after 7 am.  If you want them picked up call Seegar Swanson, 936-8704.

Help Needed Volunteer workers are needed.  Come when you can between 7 am  and 2 pm.

Tues. Nov 10, beginning at 6 pm at Holley by the Sea Recreation Center 6845 Navarre Pkwy (on the sound side of Hwy 98, just west of the traffic lights for Sunrise Drive.) the Santa Rosa County Democrats will hold a Potluck social.  There is no charge, just bring a dish to share.  Following a meet/greet we will all partake of the collective feast. Beverages will be furnished.

Program: There will be a 10 minute presentation on investment changes by Neil Tabot, Financial Adviser.  At popular request, the balance of the evening will be a Sound Off session.  You will have the opportunity to 'speak your mind' and listen to what others have to say on current affairs.

It is the custom at these events to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the Amana Food bank for  distribution to the hungry in Santa Rosa County.  Democrat Potlucks are open to the public, regardless of race, age, gender, faith or political party affiliation.

PUBLIC EVENT – CANDIDATE FORUM

The Escambia County Democratic Party will host a Candidate Forum of Democratic Candidates for statewide and national offices. The event will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. at Washington High School Cafeteria, 6000 Campus Parkway, Pensacola. Featured speakers are: Michael Arth, candidate for Governor; Kevin Burns, candidate for United States Senate; Dave Aaronberg and Dan Gelber, candidates for Florida Attorney General; and Rick Minton, candidate for Florida Agriculture Commissioner. Representatives from the campaigns of Alex Sink for Governor, and Kendrick Meek for U.S. Senate, will also be on hand. Other candidates are invited but have not yet confirmed. This is the largest gathering of Democratic Candidates in Escambia County in years. Come support this historic event which is FREE and open to the public.
