Don't Forget to Vote in the November 2 General Election. - Sponsored by the Santa Rosa County Democrats

Florida DemocratsFlorida Democrats

Friends,
The last year has been a real journey and I couldn't imagine it without you. And now Democrats are united to bring fresh ideas and accountability to Tallahassee.
I am proud that my friend Senator Dave Aronberg endorsed me and joined me on our Unity Tour because it offers a stark difference to the Republicans division.
But I am also going to need your help to win in November.

Will you join me in my fight to bring a new beginning to the Attorney General's office?
I'm running for Attorney General because this office - like so many in Tallahassee - has forgotten its purpose. It's supposed to be the office that fights for consumers and stands up against the most powerful who want to harm our citizens.
The Attorney General's office is the one that makes sure our most vulnerable citizens are not preyed upon, that rights are respected, and that ordinary people are not overwhelmed by the powerful.

democratdonkeyWill you consider making a contribution today?
Floridians are mad - frustrated -that government is looking out for everyone but them. They are angry that powerful special interests are making decisions that have nothing to do with the aspirations of everyday Floridians. That people have become profit centers for those that buy and sell government like it's a cost of doing business.
I feel very good about the General Election. I stack up favorably against my opponent, and believe voters will see a real distinction in the leadership we are offering: I am committed to fighting for everyday citizens while she has already told Tallahassee special interests she stands with them.
But to make my case to voters, I must be able to raise the resources to reach them. That is why your contribution is so vital to the campaign.

With your help, we can set Florida on a better course.

Visit my website, www.DanGelber.com to contribute online or call my campaign office at 305-538-8373 to learn more about the campaign and ways you can help!
Thank you for your continued support.
Dan Gelber

This web video shows Alex Sink as the clear alternative to the mudslinging and name calling that has dominated the Republican primary. Sink is ready to attack Florida's challenges with decades as a business leader and proven experience holding Tallahassee politicians accountable.

Thanks to your unwavering support, we won the Democratic nomination. And if there's one thing we've got plenty of right now, it's momentum. That's why we have to keep things moving and not let up for a minute. You've stuck with us throughout the primary process, now we need you to step up once again.

While we've been in a difficult primary battle, Charlie Crist and Marco Rubio have been building up their war chests. Well, I play the David role well and it's a role I'm going to relish playing in the general election. They say it can't be done. You say it can. But now we've got to catch up fast. That's why we need you to help us reach our goal of raising $50,000 before August 31 so that we have the resources we need to compete.

Click here to rush your donation of $5 or more to my campaign today and help us meet our goal of raising $50,000 before the end of the month so we can beat Crist and Rubio in November.

This election is about the people of Florida. That seems obvious to you and me, but when you look at my opponents, you have to wonder. With Crist, it's all about special interests. With Rubio, it's all about the Tea Party. More...

Sequoia's voting machines, used in some 20% of U.S. elections, employ Intellectual Property (IP) still owned by a Venezuelan firm tied to Hugo Chavez. Sequoia itself is now owned by a Canadian firm called Dominion. (Though Dominion, like Sequoia itself before them, lied about the continuing Venezuelan/Chavez ties in their recent announcement of the acquisition, as detailed exclusively by The BRAD BLOG, to little notice, in June.)

Here's a video of Pac-Man running on the hacked Sequoia touch-screen voting machine...

The Pac-Man hack onto the Sequoia/Dominion voting machine was revealed this week. It was accomplished without breaking any of the "tamper-evident" seals that voting machine companies and election officials claim are used to ensure nobody can physically hack into them without being discovered.

"We received the machine with the original tamper-evident seals intact," the hackers from Princeton and University of Michigan report. "The software can be replaced without breaking any of these seals, simply by removing screws and opening the case." More...

Senator Bernie Sanders -

Four facts:

One: The United States is in the middle of the worst economic downturn since the 1930s. More than 16 percent of working-age Americans are unemployed or underemployed. Long-term unemployment is the highest on record. Millions of people have lost their homes, savings and pensions.

Two: The United States today has a $13 trillion national debt and a record-breaking deficit. Last year alone, the federal government spent more than $186 billion just paying interest on the public debt.

Three: The United States has the most unequal distribution of wealth and income of any major country. Today, the top 1 percent of wage earners earn more income than the bottom 50 percent; and the top 1 percent has more wealth than the bottom 90 percent.

During the Bush administration, the middle class saw a $2,200 drop in median family income, down to slightly more than $50,000. Meanwhile, the 400 wealthiest families’ income more than doubled, while their effective income tax rates were slashed almost in half during the past 15 years. The wealthiest 400 Americans have accumulated $1.27 trillion in wealth, while the highest-paid 400 Americans had an average income of $345 million in 2007. As a result of Bush tax policy, they pay an effective income tax rate of 16.6 percent, the lowest on record.    More...
